Santam Roy Choudhury is a Robotics enthusiast and a MERN Stack developer who is currently pursuing his Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from NIT Durgapur. He is a curious individual who loves to experiment and learn new things. With 1.43 years of relevant experience, Santam has worked on various projects as a Software Engineer, where he has developed a strong understanding of AI, Backend, Javascript, Mobile, NodeJS, and Python. Currently, Santam works as a Software Engineer at the Digital Product School by UnternehmerTUM, where he was part of a team of 5 people who developed a Biomedical AI Recommendation Assistant for people suffering from Type 1 Diabetes. The application predicts a schedule for the patient that they must follow to maintain a proper blood sugar level and avoid hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia. Santam was responsible for developing the application and partly helping in making the Prediction model and data collection. He also worked on developing the mobile application and integrating it with a Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) device to get continuous glucose reading from the patient's body. In November, they presented their product to many Biomedical Researchers and Physicians at a conference, Health Innovation Hub in Berlin, Germany. Previously, Santam has worked as an IRIS-HEP Undergraduate Fellow at Princeton University, where he automated the testing framework of Awkward Array, a library used by particle physicists at CERN, with property-based testing using the hypothesis library. He also wrote test cases for 80% of the library functions. He has also worked as a Student Mentor at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, where he mentored two projects at an open-source coding program named Kharagpur Winter of Code. Santam's education history includes a Bachelor of Technology degree in Biotechnology from NIT Durgapur, which he will complete in December 2023, and he completed his schooling from Don Bosco Park Circus in 2018. With his diverse experience and strong technical skills, Santam is a valuable asset to any team he works with.
